It is nice how you love the sport and travel all over the place to cook your brain for half a day on the course and have the pretty outfits and $10000 gear, the Frenchman's sticker on your car and so forth.
I am just "busting your chops"... because someone has to! Because in addition to all your preparation, expert DVDs and spiritual tapes, the pro and and the lessons and special clubs: be smart and build from the bottom. Start with your chops, for instance!
If you want to improve your game (and who doesn't?), start with yourself, with your body, before investing in the specialized gear and attention.
Here's how:
1. Weight train but not crazy heavy, keep it safe and do higher reps.
2. Save your shoulders: do internal and external rotational exercises reguralry
3. Train your legs
4. Train your core
5. Do wrist rotations and forearms exercises.
7. Do balance and agility exercises
As I preach all of the time - keep it wholesome, everything has its place but the foundation has to be laid.
Have fun out there:)
