America, you said this

"Those who can: do, those who can't: teach" Confused, confused, confused, saddened... those were my reactions to this often recited phrase. Really??? Do you really mean this? No one recognizes the actual message this sends about America? I explained to my american friend how stupified this made me feel. And just sad. Also disgusted. Then "oh, yeah!"... Well, let me explain. What this is implying is that teachers are some sort of handicapped people in society. Excuse the word. Ok, maybe "less able". Not able to "do". Meaning, not able to "produce profits", right? It is to me the most asanine thing I've heard and one that the whole nation recites, over and over, and which makes me embarassed to be here. Why don't you say something like this about farmers? Who produce our food? Oh, that's becasuse it's also a business... makes profits. That's why we keep our animals in such state to raise "meat", and pump the fruits and vegetables up to look good, and hence, make profits, right? But when it comes time to our childrens' souls??? Well, no one pays for such thing, as it is not measurable, hence not profitable, so teachers are the ones that fill this 'hole'. Idiots... Pathetic, superficial people... Let me give you My humble list of important professions, since I am a parent... 1. Teacher 2. Coach, 3. Teacher........... Idiots... look at your kids. Their souls are NOT MEASURABLE, therefore teachers are like angels! You see what this message is about you?
